Comet Skateboards: The Farmer

Posted on Monday, 23 September 2013

Comet's latest offering comes in the shape of Eric Jensen's pro model 'The Farmer'. Suited to his style of riding, it shares a lot in common with the Arbor Backlash. They are both made for all round shredding and urban ripping, a direction which the downhill skate scene seems to be moving lately.

Running in at 38.75" in length and 9.875" wide and with wheelbases ranging from 24" all the way up to 26" in inch increments. It should allow the rider a ton of adjustability. With .75" of concave and half an inch of rocker 'The Farmer' has kept to Comet's usual range. But this time it has been constructed with an 8 ply layup, keeping the deck lighter and aiding the use of the kick tails.

Comet 2012

Posted on Friday, 23 March 2012

Comet recently announced the their 2012 lineup featuring new colour ways and a brand spanking new board, the Takeover. THe Ethos range has also undergone a makeover, and now features lengths 36, 38 and 40.

The Takeover is 39.25" long, 10" wide and has a fixed wheelbase of 27". It is made from 9 plys and has flush mounting to keep the ride lower. It seems the Takeover is more focused on speed due to its fixed wheelbase and flush mounting, but we will have to wait and see!

Next onto the new colourways. I know we shouldn't get too caught up on the graphic of a board, as it doesn't affect the 'feel' of the board. But just look at these graphics! Every board apart from the Grease Hammer has got a fresh coat of paint. But my favourite has to be the Shred 35. It has a monster spraying paint into the air while standing on water?! Could you get anymore crazy?

Hit up the Comet website for more info! Stay stoked!
