The new Rayne Amazon

Posted on Monday, 9 April 2012

Douglas Dalua the South American downhill machine looks to be getting this pro model released very soon through Rayne Longboards. Rayne don't seem to be big on the "pro model" movement, so this must be something special. Its aptly named "The Amazon". It comes in at 38.5 inches long and 10 inches wide with wheelbases at 30 and 31 inches. It is also drop through for extra stability.

Some rumours from Skatesklate: "It’s allegedly based on the Supreme, which is also a new board, but it’s clearly a little thicker to give it the stiffness required for the kind of speeds reached on courses like Teutonia and has dropthrough mounting for added stability. The kicktails are also removed and it has two wheelbase options. Judging from the photos, the  ”Mean” cave, radial drop and rocker all carry over from the Supreme."

The board in this image is said to be a prototype, but look at those crazy concaves. Or are they just implants under the grip tape. We will hopefully not have long to find out!

Stay stoked!
